Ultimate Staffing is currently sourcing a qualified Bilingual (Spanish) Safety Coordinator for our client in the Gainesville, GA area/ This position is responsible for directing, coordinating, and administering facility safety initiatives and programs to promote safe work practices, and culture, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

Duties:
- Plan and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal safety regulations.
- Designs and directs a program to reduce injuries through safety-training, hazard identification, planned inspections, skill training, first-aid care, emergency preparedness, proper job instruction, new employee orientation, job safety analysis/stand work procedures, and protective equipment.
- Responsible for responding and conducting incident investigations identifying the root of injuries, first-aid/significant near-miss incidents and develop corrective/preventive measures.
- Keep records of safety-related incidents.
- Walks the production floor to observe work practices and assist supervisors and leads in maintaining a safe work environment and correcting unsafe activities or operations.
- Provide ongoing support to facility personnel and leadership in the identification of workplace hazards and development and implementation of safety improvement initiatives.
- Manage air monitoring and noise testing.
- Maintain and posts the OSHA Logs.
- Maintain all documentation required to meet federal and state safety regulations
Requirements:
- 3-5 years' experience in coordinating safety programs within a manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual Required (English and Spanish)
- Solid understanding of OSHA Guidelines and the OSHA 300, 300A and 301 log completion requirements
- Excellent verbal & written communications skills
- Detailed oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize work load
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (instructor certification a plus)
- Experience in working with and understanding of required safety programs (Safety Training, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, LO/TO, Hazcom, First Aid, Fire Protection, Forklift Operation, SDS/MSDS program, Spill Response)
